Mission
The Harvey L & Judy L Swann Foundation, LLC is a benefit company. We are focused on creating a better future by investing in the present to uplift lives through providing communities with housing and meal related needs, combined with the culture of Jazz inspired music to build positive, thriving environments:
- Providing safe, stable housing for homeless individuals, families, and other vulnerable groups through renovation and acquisition of dilapidated structures.
- Creating sustainable employment opportunities through training and job placement in refurbished thrift stores, furniture repair shops, and clothing restoration businesses.
- Addressing food insecurity by providing nutritious meals to those in need.
- Funding the creation, recording and performance of primarily Jazz inspired music to uplift and unite communities.
- Empowering up-and-coming musicians by providing instruments, mentorship, performance opportunities and other related assistance.
In The Community
Human Dignity and Culture
We focus on providing communities with housing, meals and other related needs, combined with
cultural access to jazz influenced music-related support. Jazz is improvisational. A genre that requires split second decision making in realtime. Providing access to basic needs and beyond, affords humans the ability to exist with a sense of dignity and hope and the possibility of applying effort and knowledge to create a better world.
With a focus on music in the community and providing communities
